1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Mandolabs (“we”,
“us”) collects and uses information in connection with the
ThinkLinks mobile application (Android package
com.mandolabs.kana_konnect).
2. Information we collect off your device
When you use ThinkLinks, some information is transmitted off your device so the app can function, sync progress, manage subscriptions, and understand usage. This includes:
- User IDs. A silent anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier created so we can associate cloud-backed data with your install/session. Sign-in UI is not required to play.

Puzzle progress and play state. Completion status and
in-progress puzzle state are synced to Firebase Firestore (for example
under
users/{uid}) so progress can be restored. - Purchase history / subscription status. Subscriptions are handled through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat (entitlement such as “ThinkLinks Enrolled”). We may store a cache of entitlement / purchase metadata (for example product id, purchase identifiers, and purchase time) so archive unlock works reliably.
- App interactions (analytics). We use Firebase Analytics for screen views and gameplay events such as word solved and puzzle completed. Event parameters may include puzzle date, word length, and app version. The actual puzzle word text is not sent in these events.
- Device or other IDs. Firebase and RevenueCat may use device, install, or app identifiers that relate to your app instance (for example installation IDs). These are used for app functionality, analytics, and subscription fraud prevention / security.
We do not collect payment card numbers. Payment processing for subscriptions is handled by Google Play.
ThinkLinks does not currently show third-party advertising (for example AdMob). If that changes, we will update this policy and our Google Play Data safety declarations.
3. Information that stays on your device
Some information is stored locally on your device (for example via SharedPreferences) and is not included in our Firestore sync payload. Examples include achievements/medals, streak counters, theme preference, notification prefs, ad-unlock records (when applicable), and similar local settings.
4. Why we collect data
We use the information described above for:
- App functionality — delivering puzzles, syncing progress, and unlocking subscribed features.
- Account management — creating and maintaining the anonymous account / subscription association.
- Analytics — understanding how the app is used and improving it.
- Fraud prevention, security, and compliance — especially around purchases, restores, and entitlement checks.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertising networks for their own marketing purposes.
We use service providers that process data on our behalf to run the app, including Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Firebase Analytics, Google Play Billing) and RevenueCat (subscription management). Those providers process data according to their terms and our configuration of their services.
6. Retention
We retain cloud-backed progress and subscription-related cache data while your anonymous account continues to be used with the app, or until you request deletion (see below). Analytics and billing providers may retain records according to their own retention practices and legal requirements.
7. Your choices
- Clear progress in the app. Settings includes a control to clear puzzle progress and solved-word data on the device. Clearing progress also syncs that cleared progress state to our Firestore backup.
- Subscriptions. Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play (and, where available, the in-app subscription / Customer Center experience).
- Deletion requests. You may email us to request deletion of cloud-backed user data associated with your ThinkLinks use. We will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify Firestore-backed progress and related cache data we control. Note that Google Play and RevenueCat may retain purchase records as required for billing and compliance, and that uninstalling the app alone does not automatically delete all server-side records.
8. Children’s privacy
ThinkLinks is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of ThinkLinks after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
